A power failure in the Education II building has forced the Library and the Student Success Center to close for the day until power can be restored. UPDATE: The Library and SSC will be closed today and Friday.
Databases and electronic resources are available through the UAMS Library website.
We will update this page and the phone message at the Circulation Desk (501-686-5980) as we learn more about repairs, when the power may be restored, and when we can expect to reopen the Library and the SSC.
Thank you for your patience.

UAMS Library Now a Pick Up/Return Site for Central Arkansas Library System
Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) cardholders can now benefit from another location to pick up reserved materials. Beginning Tuesday, January 21, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Library,4301 W. Markham Street, may be used as a pick up location for CALS holds.
A reserved library material or “hold” is an online request to have a book, movie, or other material delivered to the CALS branch that is most convenient to the patron. To place a hold on an item, perform a catalog search for the item on the CALS website, www.cals.org. Each item that is available for hold will have a gray “Request It” button beside it. To continue, click on the “Request It” button and enter a name, library card number, and PIN number. Patrons may then choose from which of CALS fifteen library location they wish to pick up materials. The UAMS Library may be chosen as a pick up location beginning Thursday, January 16.
The UAMS Library is in the Education Two Building on campus. Parking is available on the top level of the Parking 2 deck for a minimal fee.
