Selections from the HRC Digital Collections is on Historypin.com

Selections from the Historical Research Center’s Digital Collections is now on display on Historypin.com. Historypin allows users to pin photos to Google Maps, share stories and comment on historical images from across the globe.  To find pictures from the Historical Research Center, search the map by using UAMS’s address, zip code or subject (ex: medicine) then select a pin. You can also click here to go directly to the HRC Channel.  From the History pin homepage you can also click on ‘Channels’ on the menu bar at the top of the page and enter ‘UAMS’ to search by the channel name.

There are currently three collections and one tour on the Historical Research Center Channel. All the images and descriptions were pulled directly from the HRC Digital Collections and the selections highlight the history of this institution from the late 1800’s to the 1970’s. Explore UAMS’ past by viewing Scenes from the Medical School, Healthcare Professionals at Work and UAMS Medical School Sites.

You can also view images, browse collections and add your own pins to the History pin map from your mobile device. The History pin app is FREE and it’s available on the Google Play, iOS App Store and Windows Marketplace.
