When you open BrowZine for the first time, you’ll see a list of schools. Select “University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences,” then enter your UAMS Username and Password.
Q. How do I create my personalized Bookshelf?
A. Click on the My Bookshelf link at the top of the BrowZine page. You will be asked to enter your email address and create a password. Using the same email address and password on all devices will ensure that you are accessing a synced Bookshelf. More information can be found here.
Q. Are all of the UAMS journals listed in BrowZine?
A. Most, but not all of the journals that UAMS subscribes to are available in BrowZine. The list of publishers available is growing. All subscribed journals can be searched for by title or found on the A-Z list on our eJournals page.
Q. When searching for a specific title I received the message “No matches for “X”. Title may not be BrowZine enabled at this time, but still available at your library. Please click here to search for your title again outside of BrowZine.” How do I view this journal?
A. Clicking on the “click here to search…” link within the message will take you to that journal’s entry on our eJournals page.
Q. What devices are supported?
A. BrowZine is available for:
- iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices with iOS 8.0 or later,
- Android phones or tablets running Android 4.0 or higher,
- and the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD with Android 4.0 or higher.
It’s free to download, but make sure to choose “University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences” from the list of libraries so you have access to all of the journals the Library subscribes to.
Q. Will it work off campus?
A. Yes, you may be asked to enter your UAMS Username and Password into the Library’s Proxy server. If you have any problems contact us at LibraryEJournals@uams.edu.
Q. Are pre-print or pre-publication articles included?
A. No, articles are only available once they have been bundled into an issue.
