Wi-Fi enables your device to connect to the Internet using the 802.11 remote access on campus. Wireless access is available throughout the campus and hospital.
Bluetooth can be used to wirelessly synchronize and transfer data among devices. Typical uses include automatically synchronizing contact and calendar information among desktop, notebook and palmtop computers without connecting cables. Bluetooth can also be used to access a network or the Internet with a notebook computer by connecting wirelessly to a cellular phone.
- Anyone with wireless (WiFi) enabled devices can connect to the Internet via the UAMSGuest account on the Aruba wireless network by entering his or her email address and signing in as ‘Guest.’
UAMS faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to use the UAMS wireless account by using their domain account information to connect. For step by step instructions for setting up the UAMS account for wireless access on a laptop/netbook/tablet with a Windows operating system open this document.
Technical assistance with wireless access is handled through Campus IT: 686-8555.
