Society for the History of Medicine and Health Professions Membership
The Society provides support for the Historical Research Center in the Library. The Society supports research in the history of the health sciences in Arkansas through an annual research award. Special projects have included a Senior Physician Videotape Program and an Adopt-A-Book Program which assists with the conservation of some of the rare and classic books in the Center. A lecture in the history of the health sciences is scheduled each Spring, and an annual dinner meeting with speaker is held each Fall for members. Members are committed to preserving the history of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the history of the health sciences in Arkansas. Join us in this effort!
