Print Journals
All print journals are listed in the UAMS Library online catalog and are located alphabetically by journal title on the 3rd floor. Journals older than 1966 are stored outside the library and can be requested: Storage Item Request Form.

Clinical &Pharmacology Tools

Lexi-Comp – Point of care source for pharmacology and clinical information. Clinical applications include drug interactions, tablet and capsule identification, medical calculations and patient advisory leaflets. Pharmacy students should contact Dr. Cindy Stowe in the Dean’s office of the College of Pharmacy for authorization codes to the mobile device app. See Lexi-Comp tutorial.

Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database – 5 concurrent users. Evidence-based, evidence-rated information on herbal and dietary supplements. Includes natural product/drug interaction checker.
 
DynaMed - Evidence-based clinical point of care tool with over 3,200 topic summaries. Also available on mobile devices. UAMS faculty, students, and staff request a serial number for use on mobile devices using UAMS email; Arkansas health professionals request mobile device access by emailing Jan Hart or contacting their local Regional Center library.
 
National Guidelines Clearinghouse* – Comprehensive database of evidence-based clinica l practice guidelines and related documents. Structured summaries with links to full-text guideline when available. A collaborative initiative by AHRQ, AMA, and AAHP.
 
UpToDate On Campus Access (no CME) – Concise topic reviews of published evidence with recommendations for patient care. Includes Lexi-Interact drug interactions analysis tool. Also visit UpToDate’s mobile site, which is only available via campus wi-fi.
