Video TutorialsThe following tutorials have been developed by UAMS Librarians in collaboration with College of Nursing Faculty in order to help our students search the healthcare literature for course assignments. Welcome - Nursing databases CINAHL Plus with Full-Text – Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature is the premiere research database for nursing literature. It provides indexing for more than 4,500 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. The database contains more than 2.7 million records dating back to 1981. Cochrane Via Ovid - Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and Cochrane Methodology Register. PubMed - Comprises more than 20 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Journal citations date back to 1946. Web of Science (Science and Social Science Citation Index) - Includes literature in public health, political science, anthropology, urban studies and more. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition- Ebsco database PsycInfo – Journal literature related to psychosocial aspects of health, nursing care, mental illness. SocIndex with Full-Text – Literature related to society and health. Mental Measurements Yearbook- Critical reviews and descriptive information of published, standardized tests covering education, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas. National Guidelines Clearinghouse - Comprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents. ERIC- Includes some nursing education literature. Springer Images- Health sciences charts, illustrations, and photographs for educational presentations. Trip Database - Clinical search engine eJournals Print Journals Print Books Nursing Theory Fines for overdue books are $1.00 per day per book with a maximum fine of $100.00 per item.
